Custom Table Names for Better Identification
This module allows you to assign meaningful and descriptive names to restaurant tables instead of using only default numeric values. Restaurant staff can easily identify tables such as VIP Table, Window Seat, or Family Table, which improves operational clarity and reduces confusion during busy hours.
Rename Tables Directly from POS
Users can conveniently rename tables directly from the POS floor screen without needing to go back to backend settings. By using the built-in rename option available in the floor edit mode, staff can quickly update table names in real time based on operational needs.
Automatic Fallback to Default Table Number
The module includes a smart fallback mechanism that automatically displays the default table number when no custom name is assigned. This ensures that every table always has a visible and identifiable label, preventing any display issues or confusion in the POS interface.

1.) Enable Custom Table Names from Settings
This configuration option allows you to activate or deactivate the custom table naming feature. Once enabled, the system allows restaurant managers to assign meaningful names to tables instead of relying only on numeric identifiers.
Navigation : Settings → INKERP → Custom Table Name
2.) Assign Custom Names in Floor Configuration
Within the Floor Plans configuration, a new “Name” column is added to allow you to define custom names for each table. You can enter names such as First Table, VIP Area, or Patio-A according to your restaurant layout.
Navigation : Point of sale → floor Plan → Table Name
3.) Custom Table Names in POS Floor View
After assigning names, the POS floor layout reflects the updated table names for easy identification. Instead of seeing only numbers, staff can quickly recognize tables by their assigned names. This reduces confusion during busy service hours and improves operational speed.
4) Rename Tables Directly from POS
The module allows tables to be renamed directly from the POS floor editing mode. With a simple rename action, staff can update table names instantly without navigating back to backend configuration. This flexibility is useful when table arrangements change or temporary naming is required during service.
