Admins can add funds to a customer's wallet directly through the Odoo backend interface, ensuring that the wallet balance is always up-to-date. This feature helps businesses offer flexibility by allowing customers to top-up their wallet with a predefined amount, which can then be used for future purchases.
Transaction History and Transparency
With the POS Customer Wallet, every wallet transaction, whether a recharge or payment, is automatically logged within the system. Businesses can access a complete transaction history for each customer, providing full transparency and enabling better financial tracking. The transaction logs include important details such as the transaction amount, date, type (credit or debit), and the corresponding customer.

1.) Enable POS Customer Wallet Feature
The POS Customer Wallet feature is enabled through the Odoo settings under "Point of Sale." By enabling this option, businesses can allow customers to use a wallet for payments within the POS system. This option ensures that customers can recharge their wallets and use them during checkout seamlessly.

2.) Wallet Journal Configuration
In Odoo’s journal configuration, businesses can set up a "Wallet" journal. This configuration includes checking the "Is Wallet Journal" box to define the journal as the wallet-specific journal. This journal tracks all wallet-related transactions, ensuring accurate financial management of customer wallet balances.

3.) Customer Wallet Information Overview
In the customer profile, businesses can view the wallet details, including the current balance. It offers the "Recharge Wallet" option, allowing administrators to top up the customer's wallet as needed.

4.) Wallet Recharge Action
When recharging a customer’s wallet, administrators can specify the amount to add directly within the customer’s profile. This action ensures the wallet balance is updated immediately, and customers can use the added funds during future purchases at the POS.
5.) Updated Wallet Balance View
After a successful wallet recharge, the customer’s profile is updated to reflect the new balance. This updated wallet balance helps cashiers and customers easily track available funds, making it simple to process payments directly from the wallet in future transactions.
6.) POS Wallet Payment Option
During a POS transaction, businesses can select "Wallet" as the payment method. This interface shows the customer’s available wallet balance, which can be applied to the total amount of the purchase.

7.) Customer Selection with Wallet Recharge
In the POS customer selection popup, the customer "Nicole Ford" is shown with a wallet balance of $1500. Alongside the customer information, the option to "Recharge Wallet" is displayed. This allows the administrator to recharge the customer's wallet directly from the POS interface, ensuring the customer has enough funds for upcoming transactions or purchases.
8.) POS Transaction with Wallet Payment
In the POS interface, cashiers can select the "Wallet" payment method, and the system will automatically show the available funds in the customer’s wallet. The amount is then deducted from the wallet balance, streamlining the checkout process for faster transactions.
9.) Updated Customer Wallet Balance
After a wallet recharge, the customer profile is updated to show the new wallet balance. In this case, the wallet balance has been recharged to $1400, providing an updated balance for the customer to use in future transactions.

10.) Wallet Transaction Summary
The wallet transaction screen in Odoo shows a summary of all wallet transactions for the customer. It includes details like the transaction type (credit or debit), the amount, and the date. This ensures transparency in the wallet’s usage, offering both administrators and customers insight into their wallet activity.
